The Establishment Brewing Company has been awarded the title of Alberta Brewery of the Year at the 2024 Alberta Beer Awards. The Alberta Beer Awards, which took place in Edmonton on Oct. 9, 2024, are an annual celebration of the achievements of the Alberta beer industry and its partners. This marks the brewery’s third time receiving this accolade, having previously won in 2021 and 2023.

Known for their dedication to quality, tradition and innovation, The Establishment Brewing Company continues to set the standard for craft beer excellence in Alberta.

The Brewery of the Year award was a result of the brewery receiving an impressive six medals in style-specific categories:

  • Silver – Light Bodied Ale: My Best Friend’s Girl (Kölsch-Style Ale)
  • Bronze – Other Flavoured Beer: Left My Wallet in El Segundo (Lichtenhainer with Pineapple)
  • Bronze – Barrel-Aged Beer: Into the Void (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout)
  • Gold – Low Alcohol Beer: Chaise Longue (Table Beer)
  • Silver – Mixed Fermentation Beer with Fruit: Rare Hearts (Barrel-Aged Beer with Strawberries)
  • Silver– Mixed Fermentation Beer: Erlton Street (Barrel-Aged Anniversary Blend)

“In a region that boasts some of the best beer in the country, it is an incredible honour to receive this recognition for the third time! The beer industry in Alberta is constantly innovating and continues to be of the highest caliber. We have a lot of passion on our team for what we do, but having talented peers in such a collaborative industry pushes us to continue improving. We’re very proud of our team. It takes a lot of patience, dedication and skill sets to create these products,” said brewery owner, Dave Ronneberg.
